Tire Inspection

Cold weather places additional stress on a vehicle’s battery. Before the winter arrives, you should make sure that your vehicle’s battery is ready for the season and will be able to handle the cold weather.

Brake Inspection

Snow and ice make roads increasingly more dangerous during the winter, as they reduce the traction that vehicles have on the roads. Therefore, you will need to stop your vehicle earlier under slippery conditions. Inspect your vehicle’s brake system as you winterize your car to ensure that the vehicle can stop when you need it to.

Check Wiper Blades

Your vehicle’s wiper blades will be very useful during the winter, where you may use them to clear snow, ice, and frost from your vehicle’s glass components. As you winterize your car, make sure that its wiper blades are in good condition.

Replace Your Vehicle’s Washer Fluid

When you are getting your car ready for winter, you will need to replace the vehicle’s washer fluid with a winter blend, especially if you commute in an area where the climate is very cold. Winter blend washer fluid is less susceptible to freezing, meaning that the fluid will be ready for you to use when you need it.

HVAC Inspection

Your winter car care routine should consist of inspecting your vehicle’s HVAC system. The system consists of numerous large and small components. The heater and defroster of your vehicle are a part of its HVAC system.
