The Process Behind Your A/C’s Cool Air

A/C is a closed system that uses power to run the compressor and provides cold air for a fan to blow at you. This marvel of physical chemistry starts with the refrigerant being compressed into a liquid, releasing heat and making the liquid hot. The condenser then cools the refrigerant down, but keeps it pressurized as a liquid. When the liquid is released into a non-pressurised chamber, it uses energy in the form of heat and cools down the chamber and the air around it, and that air is blown into your cabin while the refrigerant heads back to the compressor.

A/C Is a Closed System

As you might have noticed, there’s no place for refrigerants to escape in the loop we described above. This means that when you have low refrigerant pressure, it’s because there’s a leak or a part that has failed in the system. We use a high-tech fluorescent gas injected into the A/C system to find any leaks at all, and we isolate the part causing the problem. Once we’ve replaced that part and ensured that the system won’t leak more, we can recharge your A/C.

These parts are OEM parts, and we have these same parts in our service center, which we use for your replacements.
